Can't find dm-core gem

Using ruby gems 1.1.1
$ gem sources -a http://gems.datamapper.org
$ sudo gem install dm-core
ERROR: could not find dm-core locally or in a repository
The gem doesn't appear to be in the directory at http://gems.datamapper.org

- State changed from “new” to “invalid”
I was just able to install dm-core using the following command:
sudo gem install dm-core -s http://gems.datamapper.org
