Empty DataMapper::Collection returns everything on chaining

TL;DR
For some reason, this 'Pasta.all(:flavor => [])' returns and empty collection, but this 'Pasta.all(:flavor => []).sauces' will return every sauce in the association, and ignores the empty array.
